Long-time Tacoma architecture firm Jon Graves Architects has announced a new name and fresh look for the company.
In response to the growth of the company and its addition of new services, the company is now known as Graves + Associates or simply G+A.
“We’ve always worked very closely with clients, to ensure their needs and vision are achieved,” says company founder and Principal Architect Jon Graves. “Now we have a platform to showcase our portfolio and depth as a team. G+A has always taken a bold approach with our designs and now that is translated into our new brand.”
Quietly, Graves + Associates has grown from three people during the recession to nearly 25 today, and the new brand will allow other services such as interior design, construction administration, project management/owner’s representation, and furniture and art procurement to become primary services of the firm in addition to the conventional architectural design services we’ve always provided.
Active in ten commercial and residential markets throughout Puget Sound, Graves + Associates is currently designing Aspire II on 11th and Martin Luther King Jr Way in Tacoma’s Hilltop neighborhood, and recently finished construction of TrueBlue executive offices in the old Weyerhaeuser Corporation’s headquarters. At any given time, the company has 60-80 active projects.
“As our firm grows to meet the demands of our clients, we wanted a visual representation of our capabilities. Our new logo visually demonstrates how our designers bring all the pieces of a project together to build something magnificent,” says company Senior Project Manager Ben Childs. “Our new name shows we are still founded on the principles Jon Graves instilled in us, but we also have a large team to service all the client needs when they come to Graves + Associates. We’re very excited for the future of our company.”
